"Once more
unto the breach, dear friends, once more;" - Shakespeare,
Henry V
Greetings from Los
Angeles, CA, home of
the movies and,
currently, Alexander Grossman.
I'm currently head of business development for Braun, Inc. (a valuations, auctions and acquisition services firm). Recently, I was working as an independent consultant. Previously, I was the head of international business development at j2 Global Communications (formerly JFAX.COM). Before moving to Los Angeles, I was a Foreign Service Officer and served at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile and in the U.S. Embassy in San Salvador, El Salvador. Prior to this, I served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force in the 74th Tactical Control Squadron. Born and bred in New York City, I have many fond memories of my years at the United Nations International School and Edgemont High School in New York, my summers at Camp Taconic (Camp Taconic Alumni web site) in the Berkshires, and graduating from Memorial High School in Houston, Texas. I'm an engineer by education (a proud graduate of Cornell University) and a businessman and diplomat by avocation.
My interests extend from art (especially antique maps) to history (ranging from classical to Byzantine to medieval to modern to military) to wine to reading (including science fiction, Star Trek, and mysteries) to movies. I'm a particular fan of Audrey Hepburn (so I'm including a photo below) and Shakespeare.
